After removing and cleaning the cross member in my Sons 69 I noticed that the center of it is slightly angled. Problem is I didn’t watch whicway it came out, I thought you could install it either way HELP

Lot of stuff going on on a Friday night. The weekends are usually a little slow anyway. There are six cross members in a coil spring truck, so a little more info would be nice.

Re: Help. Which way does the slant go???

Assuming an auto trans mount x-member, the slant goes towards the rear

Bet it's the one second from the back...where you put the gas tank swap...it's angled

The very front one is angled too, the small one in front of the main front x-member.

Re: Help. Which way does the slant go???

You lost me at angle. The rear wall of the cross member has holes in it for the E-brake cable brackets.

On our Trans X member were you show the arrows it’s slanted / angled down for one side to the other

Those corners incline toward the front inside. But like I say, the rear of the cross member has two holes for the E-brake cable brackets.
