Re: TCI to start new R&D Project with a C10!

That's an impressive weight savings! When will you get some road time with the kit installed?

We're trying to have it road worthy by the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville(Early August). We just have a very busy schedule between now and then not to mention we're developing parts for the 2nd Gen Camaros at the same time.

The Truckin Throwdown was in our back yard (Fontana) last Friday so I think that event helped light a fire.

We can't let Rob be a glory hog.

Yes, Rob's done some great things for the -67-72 segment of our hobby, but there's nothing wrong with a little friendly competition! GO TCI!!

Hey I'm all for it. The great thing about our hobby is that there's room for everybody. TCI is working hard to deliver a good product to the customer. PorterBuilt is for the really low guys. we focus on ride quality and performance. This looks to be the easiest to install, with the full bolt-on rear suspension. (ours requires welding on the housing) So the customer has more choices. That will get more trucks built, and more people involved. Good for all of us. Bring it on.
BTW, the TCI outboard doesn't look any farther out than ours. 12" no problem (will need wider tubbs after 10") 14" can be done, but it's very tight. We did 345/30/19 on 19x12" wheels, had a 13 5.8 section width.
