72 K5 CST Highlander "Vegas"

Hey fellas....picked up this 72 K5 in Vegas from a super cool guy named Sam. It was a pretty trek from Dallas to Vegas to pick her up, but it was definitely worth it. When I walked inside his garage, very neat and clean work area I must say, I was shocked by the condition of the K5. Even better than the pictures he had sent. Best truck deal I've experienced. I have had it a couple of years this month, but just now doing some work on it. Truck has may Hickey options on it, roll bar, gas tank skid, inside door handles, and many more...it also HAD the Hickey saddle tanks inside on driver and passenger. The tanks are gone, but still deciding if I want to build a set or find some survivors. It came with all original running gear.....and a decent LS 5.3/4L60E as well. Very straight body and decent paint...just a few areas to address. Up to now, the only thing I've done to it is add a 4" skyjacker spring kit on all 4 corners, and built a custom bumper for the rear, with a front bumper to match soon. Put a new set of 16" steelies and 235/85's with it. Still not sure if they are too small, but probably will get some opinions here. Maybe go to a 2.5" kit or just add-a-leafs? Here is a list of things we are working on right now and the plan:

New gas tank (need to modify filler neck LOL)
Fresh 6.2L diesel J-code engine
700r4 with the original 205 t-case
Old Air A/C system
2nd battery tray for driver side
Maybe some new wiring (possibly all fresh wiring)
custom front bumper with winch application
Swing out tire kit on the new custom bumper

Should be a fun build....
