Pic Request: Rally wheels on a dropped truck

Got some overtime money burning a hole in my pocket, and was wondering whether it should go to replace a sliding glass door, or some new tires. Already know my vote...

Looking to put some BFG T/A type tires on my 68 longbox with a set of Chevy 6 lug rally wheels. My truck has an ECE 3.5-5 inch drop with 2.5 inch spindles up front. Anyone running this out there? How does it look?

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience, well......that comes from bad judgment.

1968 Chevy C-10 "Longshot": Bought used from my Uncle George in 1994 and proceeding to beat the hell out of it for 4 years. Sold it. Bought it back, dumped an ungodly amount of money into it since then.

Re: Pic Request: Rally wheels on a dropped truck

Quit thinking truck and think CAR!!!

I think these Corvette ralls wheels rock on these trucks. Here they are on one of our board member's '68. Just look at how tough they look!!!!

P.S. He tells me that these are 6 lug rallys too.

lol

I'm totally down with prostreetc10- 'Vette style ralley's are much cleaner looking if you ask me!

Re: Pic Request: Rally wheels on a dropped truck

not a fan of car rallys myself... but the truck rallys look nice on these rigs...

BFGs suck in the mud

beer run?

there's plenty that look better, but these give a stock vibe, while looking good, and look better than the hubcaps that are usually found on them (or lack of caps)

Re: Pic Request: Rally wheels on a dropped truck

Unfortunately, no I do not have any additonal photos. I keep this one around as a source of inspiration for my '67 SWB project. I really dig the silver and while combo and will most likely use these colors on my ride!

Re: Pic Request: Rally wheels on a dropped truck

Beautiful trucks!!! Thanks for coming through with photos.

How would a set of 275/60R15's look on the rear end? My tranny mechanical speedo is set up for 28 inch tires and would rather not change it if I didn't have to.

Re: Pic Request: Rally wheels on a dropped truck

Here's mine before it was disassembled for body/paint. Front wheels are 8 -inches wide; rears are 10. Front dropped 2.5 inches and rear is dropped 4. Front tires are 245-60 T/A's. Rears are 275-60 T/A's. Wheels are from Wheel Vintique Vette-style rallye, with 6-lugs holding each one on.

Re: Pic Request: Rally wheels on a dropped truck

IMO 275/60-15 ON THE REAR AND 255/60-15'S ON THE FRONT IS WHAT I,AM RUNNING NOW and imo the only way they look good is to have truck lower alot. i,ll try to post some pic,s. of my blue & white truck asap so you can see. there small diameter and you,ll have alot of wheel well showing if you dont drop tk. alot. the photo of my truck above has 70 series on it.

Here is my 71....with a 4"/6" ece drop. I have pondered with switching to more modern rims, but I have gotten quite a few compliments for sticking with the Rally's.
