6 inch drop

hi guys i was wanting to know if i can lower my 1968 chev truck 6 inches in the front and have no clearance issues i have 215/70/r15 on the front any help would be great thank you

Your a-arms will be about 2" off the ground.
I'm at 5.5" with the same tires.
It's really low.

i have 3 inch drop spindles on the front and am going to get 2 inch drop coils up front with 215/70/r15 tires up front do you think that will be too low in the front end

Depends what you call "too low".
The lowest point of your a-arms will be 3" off the ground.

3 in spindles and springs on virtually the same suspension. Some one ton springs and good shocks keep the arms off the ground. About 4 inches from the ground

If I had the time I would rather section the crossmember two inches to get moer lows. Haha
Add drop springs at about two inches and your already at 4 inches drop. 2.5 drop spindles and your at 6.5 and prob wishing you had some Doug's headers that don't hang low. As you can see from those specs you can go 3"drop springs, 2" cut crossmember and three inch spindle and get an all Time low of 8inches drop.

I want to go 7.5 on mine but won't till I have good headers for such thing and I will Prob z the frame to keep control arms off the ground. Hope this helps with options for moer lows

I really like the 2.5 spindle and 1" coil I had in my 67 short box 255/60/15s. I could drive around not thinking about bottoming out. I replaced them with a 2" drop coil and was hitting the arms where I never did before. A week later I went back to the 1" coil. Much more driveable. When you get tired of changing bent lower arms you will decide what is too low....

Thanks. I have 245/40/16 g force t/a up front on a/r tt2 and 295/50/16 I the rear

It's got three inch drop springs up front and three inch djm spindles for 6incehes drop. Has a flip on the rear with 1-2 drop shackles. In the pic it's 6 drop in back and I have since put it in the second hole for 7 inches drop in back. Still rakes forward slighty. So it's a 6-7 total drop and my daily driver. It needs a notch in the rear but still drives nice. Has a more performance ride to it than a comfy ride but that's how I like it.

When I get my other truck running I'm doing a 1" z and one inch section crossmember for two inches of drop. The adding cpp modular spindles with2.5 drop and one ton coils that give a two inch drop when cut. Should spec out at 7.5 and still drive daily with no wheel scrub. Any lower and I'm doing a body drop. To me this is the right and safest way to lower.
