Re: Pictures of your Motorcycle

Just picked up this little Gem a couple of weeks ago. Brand new 2014 BMW R1200GS. I finally got to a point to where I had a choice of any bike on earth. For my type of riding, it was between the BMW or the KTM Adventure 1190R. It was a hard choice but I think a good one.

And the best part is...I got it for FREE. Well, Almost, I had to sell a couple of these to pay for it.

Great looking bike. The only thing that stopped me from getting a BMW is the sparse dealer network.

Re: Pictures of your Motorcycle

I had to sell my Harley due to health problems.
It was a mighty fine bike, I build in my little shed...

As I bought it:

After I build it:

I did all the work myself, including paint and pinstriping.
Also I have an old Shovel as a project in my shed, that's also sold, I am building it for a friend who bought it from me. This bike I had for 21 years.
It's hard to let them go....

those copper lines are a nice touch

i have an 07 springer softail classic olive/black and have been considering doing copper lines for that ''old school'' look. i like the springs and exposed axle nuts instead of the covers...just the little things

Mine is a 2000 FLHPI. Road King Police edition. The local police retired them in 2002 when they went to the BMW's and I picked it up from them.

Re: Pictures of your Motorcycle

Awesome Matt! When I got mine it only had 11,000 miles on it, and all the service records. It was actually broadsided with the officer on it, and sent back to Harley to be rebuilt months before they switched over, so I have a mix of 2000 and 2002 pieces. LOL, it has made things interesting at times.

Re: Pictures of your Motorcycle

That Roadstar aboveI got for free because it was totaled and sitting for 7 years and has 150,000 miles on it. Yesterday I just got this one given to me also. Kawasaki 125, with the dead guy. (haha)

WHAT SHOULD I NAME HIM?
