Quick locking hub question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Just bought a 72 GMC Jimmy and when going through and checking out all the mechanics I noticed that the entire locking hub assembly spins on the driver side wheel. I've never replaced a locking hub, although it looks pretty simple. Am I correct in assuming that the hub is probably shot if the whole thing is turning?

Something is broke or missing.

I figured as much. Probably order a set of Mile Marker hubs and throw in this weekend. Hopefully that's the only issue.
