bellcrank help

I bought this K35 the other day, and I'm guessing one of the PO's converted it from auto to standard (has the auto steering column). The clutch pedal was very difficult to push, so I started looking at the linkage and noticed the z-bar looks too short (among other things). Or it could be that they mounted the bracket on the frame too far away from the bellhousing. This is my first squarebody, so I don't know where it's supposed to go. If anyone has a z bar that they could measure the length, that would be very helpful, as well as a opinions on bracket mounting location.
