1/2 ton dually conversion

So what's it take to make my 63 c10 6 lug into an 8 lug dually front?

Changing the entire front suspension, crossmember and all with a C30 dually front suspension and crossmember.

You could also use square body chevy C20 front crossmember and suspension along with dually spacers like 2nd gen rams use. Would get you easier to work on\find parts availability of the newer c20 and I trust the factory style adapters bit more than some aftermarket ones once you go past 1.5" thick (dually ones are like 4" or so).

If your just going for looks I say go for it but if your trying to make it a heavy hauler you might want to reconsider due to differences with frame strength and the legality of towing\hauling more than the original truck is rated for.
