4L80e in a square

Ok im sure someone has already done this and i am hoping for some help. I am building a CCSB and have a oppturnity to pick up a 4L80e for a good price. I am using a sb 406 and wondering will the 4L80 bolt up? what transfer case will i need? and how do you defeat the "e" part of the tranny. i belive compushiift used to make a controller but i cant find that product anymore. thanks again!

I did the swap TCI has a controller that is easy and awesome. The 4l80e/np205 link is my build. All in all was a pretty standard swap

Yeah 91 crew cab square body used the 4l80 np205.The newer trucks used a few different t case but i think they are the wrong side drop.They do make adapter kits for this but i think you need a 2wd trans to use it.

the TCI looks like its the easiest and the priice is less than the others. what transfercase can or should i use? my other square has a nv3500 with a 208, what is the spline output of the 4l80e. did you have to add the TCI TPS ??

32 spline, Same as TH400.

You have to have a tps for the TCI unit. You can make a junkyard one or order a pre made kit.
