Sometimes you just got to step back and check it out. So this week I was messing with britney here and there. I was drinking my snapple diet ice tea chilling near the tailgate making some measurements on a bed crossmember. I looked up and studied the driverside kick panel and door post. I then looked at my work on the passenger side..

I ripped out the passenger side today, AGAIN, and reworked to repo parts. Seem the inside lip of the kickpanel that lays on the floor pan was to wide. That lip where the weather stripping go's gave away how much the kick panel sat inside to much. I'm glad it's just metal cause man you can work that crap over as manytime as you want or just replace a whole section again without much worry.

I'm sure this has caused alot of issues with the bottom section of the door to stick out. Since it is a three day weekend I got plenty of time. Tomorrow I should have it back on and start working on the bed crossmember.

So hows your weekend? Any one else watching chavez fight tonight?

Glad to see ya workin on the blaz.... I have been using the long weekend to work on the 72 lots of welding and bondo action happing...

I am sitting here doing pretty much nothing. I ran out of things to do on my Jimmy. I am kinda in limbo till I get a garage built. It could be in the bodyshop getting paint in the next few weeks but instead the body is fully disassembled in a trailer until I have a garage built. Just doing what I can on my 292 using the parts I have, having a hard time finding used parts

that sucks GM, just roll on down here and help me out. I got the door-post back on, came back home to get the camera. I did't know it was 4 i thought it was later. Sun doesn't set till about 8

badnews, i'm almost out of argon/co2

I knew i should of got a new tank before the weekend.

So heres the work. here you can see how the lip where the weather stripping is straight on the driver side. The passenger side is how it is now, the red is the new fix and the blue represents how it was.

Also you can see what i cut on the kickpanel. The red area is what i had to shorten up and blue line us where i made my cut.

I test fitted the door and it is now where i want it. now it's time for some tacos. later.
