CPP spindles need painted?

Hey guys
I have a set of CPP modular drop spindles...
Do these need to be painted to avoid rusting?
or do they have a coating of some sort on them?
Talking about the main structure... not the shaft of course.
Thanks

Paint them. They look like they're painted but they will begin to tarnish over time with surface rust.

Since you haven't installed them yet, can you let us know how they affect your track width if any.
I'm assuming you're working on a 5 lug disc brake '72.

CPP spindles do not all place the WMS in the same spot. Their catalog shows that in the description of each kit or spindle individually or they have it consolidated on this chart.
