Re: What do yall think? 1972 Chevy Suburban

The original owner was in the military and this truck travel all over. I have over 2 boxes of paperwork on the truck. Every service record possible and tons of info on mileage over the years. He keep little log books. These are so detailed they have every gas fill up ( date, mileage, amount of gas and price) From what i can tell its been to 10 states possible more.

Re: What do yall think? 1972 Chevy Suburban

The seats are almost perfect except the front that does have some wear and fray. I found a place that makes the replacement fabric but its $90 a yard. Hopefully can save some dough and have my upholstery man fix her up right!

Yep, sure is!

Thats an awesome ride.

Is this the place you tried for fabric?

http://www.smsautofabrics.com/produc...pcl=c&ino=8690

This is listed for the truck, but it looks like your seat material.

Re: What do yall think? 1972 Chevy Suburban

This was how the motor looked when i got here. I cleaned the outside up and thats it. I hope painting the block didn't hurt its value or all original look :/

Last pic shows the hood with a GM Bug Guard??? Guessing a Dealership ADD-ON???

Not sure... maybe you can buy only what you need? I got samples for a couple of my cars (although they dont need it), to see the quality and it matches almost identical!

I wanted to see how the matchup of the optional brocade cloth interior on 72 Caprice wagon was. My car has the perfect standard vinyl for the Caprice wagon, but I had considered covering it with the optional brocade, which is very rare on the wagon.

Re: What do yall think? 1972 Chevy Suburban

She`s a full-tilt Suburban alright.A very well kept one. It`s amazing how these trucks are.If you took care of them they "did" sure last. That original owner just about ordered all the options.I can think of a handful that didn`t come with it.
At shows there are limited people who actually appreciate a vehicle for what it is and not just attracted to fancy wheels or custom paint.I`m sure you`ve had the ones amazed at it`s originality and condition.Just a more limited group.
