52' Suspension question!!!

Alright so a lot of you know I am going from a 3600 to a 3100. My 3100 frame is bare right now so I cant move it around the garage very well. Will the 3600 suspension bolt up to the 3100 frame? Also when I do a drop axle on the front can I just rebuild the current spindles with new king pins or do I need new spindles to? Thanks guys

the frames a different I think..if I remember right I think one is straight and one is tapered..but its more about the distance between spring pads on the two frames..

Re: 52' Suspension question!!!

According to the diagram I found on the Jalopy Journal the front springs are the same distance and the rears are different.

Re: 52' Suspension question!!!

Unless you need to roll it out on the gravel driveway a simple wood framed stand/cart with casters on it would let you roll it around by yourself and it would roll out of the way.

I've seen a lot of inexpensive and imaginative setups for moving a frame around. I don't have a photo but I saw one where the guy bolted legs to the frame using existing frame holes with casters on them. That would make it rough to work on it in that area though.
