Step-side Bed Mod
I've been told that there are pieces available to eliminate the steps behind the
fenders on step-sides but I've been unable to locate them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Re: Step-side Bed Mod
I've seen those and it looks way better. I never did like that bulge behind the wheels. Just so you know, Chevy made it's last Stepside in '87. What you have is a Sportside

Re: Step-side Bed Mod
That eBay seller is about your best bet these days. The kits were originally made by East Coast Customs. They stopped making the fullsize kits long ago, yet still made the S-Series kits. I don't even know if they're around anymore. There have been other sites in recent years that have had them, but they've all disappeared or stopped carrying them. The eBay seller, fiberglassguru, has been sporadic with listing the kits, but I've heard from several people that even if they don't have any listed, they're pretty responsive if you contact them about getting a kit.

Re: Step-side Bed Mod
They should never have went to a "sportside" they should have called it "jacked up ugly and stupid side". Those kits are a god send.

Re: Step-side Bed Mod
Wonder what a step shaver kit would look like with a narrowed bumper?
Or caddy tails. |

Re: Step-side Bed Mod
I've never seen anyone try a narrowed bumper, but this was a friend's truck with Caddy taillights (and a shaved rollpan box).
