Speedway Motors in Lincoln, Nebraska. LMC in Lexena, Kansas. Classic Parts in Kansas City. Here in Illinois we have JC Whitney in a Peru. There is Winners Circle Speed Shop in Moline and Peoria, they are more drag racing oriented, but still cool.

It's probably a good idea to mark a map with your start point and the point you are gong to in Texas and then circle the ones the guys suggested and see what works without going several hundred miles out of your way.

77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

If you can I would call the Places you were going to shop at and get price's and find out if they have said parts in Stock. Sometimes the parts are Dropped Shipped by the Dealers and they don't keep them in Stock. While your at it I would try to Deal with Vendors from this Site! They might give you a Discount and get everything you want in One Stop.

If you are going to South, Central or East Texas Kansas City is right on the way. Most likely it is on the way even if you are going to West Texas and at least not that far out of the way or off the main roads. Meaning you will probably drop down to Kansas city before heading off in any direction further south.

Re: 1955 parts stores in central us

Sounds like a good area to plan on spending the night in.

Classic parts is at
Classic Parts of America
1 Chevy Duty Drive
Riverside, MO 64150

Jim Carter is at
Jim Carter Truck Parts Company
1508 East 23rd Street
Independence, Missouri 64055

LMC is at
15450 W 108th St, Lenexa, KS 66219

If you start at Classic parts, zig over to Jim Carter and then back to LMC it is pretty do-able without a lot of hassles
