TrailBlazer SS owners?

I've notice a couple of TrailBlazer SS owners here. Just curious w/o actually running a "poll"...
How many of "us" are planning on their TBSS as being a permanent member of the family?
Also, and just as important of question in my head was....how many of the TBSS owners here also own older trucks...and are doing (or planning) an LSx swap on their classic trucks?

oh..here's ours:

...and yes my '68 is getting an LSx swap!

Re: TrailBlazer SS owners?

Here's mine. This is actually my wifes daily driver. I did have an older truck, but sold it recently. I will be looking for another one down the road though, and I will probably look at the LSX swap pretty seriously. Anyway here are the few pics I have of our 06 here at work.

Here are a couple from a cruise I went on with some other local guys.

Our 06 again

I am looking at adding the elec fans to mine. Has anyone else done that on theirs, and how do you like it?

Re: TrailBlazer SS owners?

I plan to as soon as my extended warranty is out. The system in these trucks isn't ideal for keeping them "cool". I've watched my trans temps approach the operating temp of 205-210...way too hot. I installed dual electric fans in my last truck and loved them. A/C was even cooler...especially while sitting still.

Re: TrailBlazer SS owners?

Just found this thread. Count me in. Sorry no pic handy, but mine is a 2007 TBSS Silver daily driver. I sold my corvette last year due to new baby on the way. No better way to haul the family. No LSX swaps here, the other toys use old school iron blocks. By the way I just did LS1 fan swap this past weekend. It was pretty straight forward, but you need the LS1 fan patch on the pcm to make it work. If you TBSS guys do not know already TBSSowners forum is great place for info just like 67-72 chevytrucks forum.

Re: TrailBlazer SS owners?

My wife drives a black 2008 3SS. I plan to convert my 48 GMC to LS by doing a full body drop on a TBSS 2wd when I find a donor. (similar to my 52 GMC/Envoy build)

Re: TrailBlazer SS owners?

Welcome to the thread guys! Glad to see theres more of us TBSS owners here, and particularly that many of us are building LSx powered classic/antique vehicles to boot.

Awesome looking TBSS LeftCoast! I'll have to check out your link. Is that hood available publicly or was it custom made?

The Functional Cowl Induction Hood is available from MPD1! There is an Airbox that works with the hood from CAI inc. Check out my website for TBSS modifications.

We are in the process of building a new GMPP LSX Block and GMPP LSX/LS3 Heads. We are running 20psi of Boost and a 250 Shot of Nitrous. We are shooting for between 1000-1250 Rear Wheel Horse Power with the new LSX 6 Bolt Block and Heads.

LC32.....is that a NANO system I'm seeing next to your nitrous bottle. If so...how are you liking the system?

The Nano is Great!! It maintains the perfect pressure from the start to finish of the bottle. It makes the tuning alot better because the nitrous pressure doesnt drop as you go down the track. The only down side is that you have to weigh the nitrous bottle to tell how much is left in it.

Re: TrailBlazer SS owners?

I am actively seeking a 2wd TBSS to cut up (wreck, salvage title, or not--I don't care) and use like most of the guys use an S-10. Just I like I did with the Envoy under my 52 Burb.
