Cheap used jet ski
Since I sold my boat I've been hankering to get wet. The idea of a jet ski keeps running through my mind. I'm thinking this fall I should buy an older sit down model and fix it over the winter. Just a few weeks ago I saw one with a blown engine for $700 and it came with a trailer. The parts were under $400.
I could easily pull it with my Escape. Winter storage would be easy also. Drag it into back yard and cover with tarp, then stand trailer up against garage. Am I stupid? I want one with enough power to pull a tube but mostly just blast around a local lake when I'm bored and hot

They can be fun but need a little attention from time to time.
I tow my GTI behind our cabin cruiser occasionally. http://s29.photobucket.com/component...wSeaDoo001.jpg

Re: Cheap used jet ski
I’ve owned both...and sold both.
Now when we need one or the other, we rent. Been doing this for several years now and don’t regret it one bit.

Re: Cheap used jet ski
Jetskis are fun, but they are kinda like snowmobiles in the sense that if you don't own 2...you'll never use them at all. (Assuming you don't already know ppl with jetskis)
Because of our short season up here, occasionally you can get them DIRT cheap. If your willing to ride an old stand up, I've seen them go for $250 or so. Parts are a bit tougher to find for the 90's stuff tho these days.
