Rally Wheel Center Caps

Looking to buy a set of rally wheel centers for my 5 lug wheels and was wondering if anyone has any comments on a set of the plastic repos? They look good in the ads, was hoping that someone has bought a set and wondering if they liked them.

Re: Rally Wheel Center Caps

I got a set off of eBay, they look good and feel cheap.

The chevy center decals are falling off, I lost one and two were laying on the floor in the garage.

So I need to make a new set of bow ties for them.

5 on 5 pattern and are still stocked at dealers.. not hard to find at junk yards either

Yeah I also got some off e-bay. Look nice but WAY overpriced for plastic. I am betting that they won't hold up too well.

Re: Rally Wheel Center Caps

Hi-jack alert!
So I do have a set of original center caps and happened to be looking them over tonight...
They are still in very good (not excellent) condition. My question is this, are these caps clear coated from the factory?
Probably a dumb question but I'm not familiar with paint and finish history...
Anyway, it looks like they either have a clear coat or something on them because it's pealing off! The finish is dull but when I scrape at it it is very shiny underneath!
So...
What's the best process for cleaning these caps back to a shine without damaging the finish?
The bow tie decal has the same coating as well.
Thank you in advance!

Re: Rally Wheel Center Caps

I paid $200 at a junkyard and had four stickers made for ten bucks. Also had them powdercoated at Les Schwab for seventy bucks each. So it all came out under $500 and did purchase two new tires, price not included but they're Coopers from Les Schwab.

Guess I got a deal then, I got 4) 8"wide and 2)7" wide ralley's and 8 center caps 4)metal truck/van ones and 4)90's cop car..
for 110.00 I think he felt bad for me as it took a long time to get the lock type mcguard lug nuts off .. The truck I got the 8" wide ones from had 4 locking lug nuts per wheel..
And of course not one key in the truck

No; they were chrome plated and then the base is painted argent silver (single stage).

Re: Rally Wheel Center Caps

I used a set of the 90's style centers on my rally wheels. I don't know if they are still available from GM but I got a set of new GM take offs at a swap meet for $30. They attach from the back side of the wheel
