Who has the Body mounts?

I will be putting my Suburban back on the 4x4 frame this week (hopefully), I read a post about someone here reproducing the rubber mounts? Anyone remember who it was or does anybody know where I can get a set that is stock...I can use Energy suspension on this if needed but stock would be fine also?

Re: Who has the Body mounts?

Wes at ClassicHeartbeat was going to reproduce them. Don't know the status though.

Re: Who has the Body mounts?

I purchased my rubber body to frame mounts from Brothers and they were official GM parts. Took a while to receive them though, as they were on backorder for a few months.

Re: Who has the Body mounts?

Ah, geez, that was at least three years ago..... On their website it lists the kit at $250 now. I'm not sure where my old invoice wound up at the moment.

Here's what the 'burb specific mounts look like. They come in both wide and thin varieties and are bonded to a plate of steel on one side underneath the rubber.

Re: Who has the Body mounts?

Back when I did my body off part of my project, no one was selling a burb body mount kit. I was able to take care of my needs by purchasing two sets of Blazer body mount kits.

I'm not sure you'd have to go to that extreme, since I am sure there is someone now selling burb mount kits...

Re: Who has the Body mounts?

NOStock would be great, but It is a 4x4 beater and originality really is not important to me on it. I got the Poly mounts for $124 to my door. wes at Classic heartbeat said that they discontinued them from Energy suspension, and When I called Summit the guy told me it was the very last set they had, could not say if they were getting more? When I do the '69 2 wd I will go with a stock rubber type, if I can still get the NOS I will spring for those then!

Re: Who has the Body mounts?

Ordered a set for my '67' panel from Summit yesterday. Energy suspension brand urethane 112.95 + shipping. Comes with mounting hardware and you can choose Red or black.

The sales rep said that they had just the mounts only available around $59.95 if I remember correctly.

Should be here iin 3-5 days, order had to be drop shipped.

Re: Who has the Body mounts?

lmc truck sells full kits for 67-72 burbs including poly ones....much less than $250 and they are better than rubber. will be doing that on my 72 burb 2wd 3/4 ton soon because the front right mount under the passenger seat.....lower rubber peace rotted away.

Check that, I called last week and they said they did not sell them? I may have gotten somebody who did not know Jack, but I could not find them in their catalog either?

Re: Who has the Body mounts?

i always order with the part numbers.....and they are in the catalog right in front of me.

the suburban poly kit is:

34-0117 $169.95 plus $27.75 for snail mail (ground) delivery...

doesn't include the bolts/nuts (i'd suggest going with stainless or plated hardware if yours is rusty) but does have everything else judging by the explode view pics in the catalog. hope this helps....

Summit part # is: ENS-3-4194G or ENS-3-4194R if you want red.

Or at least that's what I bought, they were delivered Thurs. They are complete with bolts/mounts/washers, I just hope they work out?

They are saying 8-10-2009 as a ship date.

Re: Who has the Body mounts?

AFAIK, ES will make any no longer stocked 67-72 burb kit as a special order. I did this with a local truck/racing accessories store. The owner just called up ES and ordered the set by application as a special order.

Took a couple weeks to come in and cost < $150. Can't remember the exact price. Way cheaper than orig rubber. Superior, too, as said above.

BTW, get the black ones. They're graphite impregnated for less or no squeeking.
