Diff help
Will they differential out of a 2000 plus Chevrolet 2500 fit into a 71 Chevrolet C20 I know I have to change the axle mounts and track bar is there anything else.

shock mounts. It should work. You will need proportioning valve and master cylinder change if it is a disc brake rear and parking brake cable mods.
Honestly the drum brakes are fine and an easier swap. When I did the semi-float 14 in my Jimmy, I removed the Suburbans parking brake cables and replaced with the original ones from my 12 bolt. I used the Suburban spring pads (leaf springs on my truck) but used the original shock mounts.

I used a FF 14 bolt out of a 2004 Chevy 2500. The width pushes the wheels out a bit but I was using the late model wheels with more back spacing.I also used the drivers side E-brake cable from a 2013 tahoe to hook up the E-Brake.Passenger side is too long so I got two drivers side cables. Worked like a champ.

Good to know about CaptainFab. And he may be able to make some for you for different diameter axle tube. I know the semi float 14 in my Jimmy is 3.25” tube and not the 3” the 67-72 trucks are. Not sure about the housing that you are looking at. It may require you to elongate the holes on the trailing arm and source some different u-bolts as well.
