Pics of my 50 GMC Bus

What should I do with it? I bought a 76 1-ton dually with airbags, 454 a/c. I was thinking I would part out the sheet metal of it and use the frame and running gear under the bus. But is there a value to the bus when I've done it? Is it worth the effort? I have other projects to do, and this is way down on the list.

Re: Pics of my 50 GMC Bus

Coooooool!
All depends on you brother. What do YOU want it to be when it's done. Are you doing it to keep or resell one day?
Me? I would go for your original plan. I'd love to have something like that. Soon as I'm done with my panel, I'll be looking for a vintage travel trailer to re-do.
You can have it all rolled into one with that cherry!
Good luck!

Re: Pics of my 50 GMC Bus

I think it's really cool! Bagged would be killer too, I don't think anyone could tell you what the end value would be as it would be really off the wall! I think that in itself makes it worth the efforts. Can you afford to do it and not make a profit? Then do it!

He's in Europe man you probably don't want to buy it or trade, that would be expensive.

Cool bus. A paint job, some chrome wheels and then slam it.

Re: Pics of my 50 GMC Bus

You`d have to be retarded to ride in a bus like that.Sorry,I know, politically incorrect, too. That thing would make an awesome cruiser.

Re: Pics of my 50 GMC Bus

I bet that was a fun ride driving that thing down the road lol. Ive pulled a mobile home UP a field running over small cedars with a 58 2 ton before That was fun also. Expesially considering it had no brakes...that emergency brake worked really well though.

Enough of my rant, I personally think that bus would be really cool to build. As for resale I dont think many people would offer you what you put into it. But if you plan on keeping it than it would be a really nice truck to take on vacations.
