Question Where to find?

Now that I have established my 72 has an Eaton rear axle, can anyone give me an idea of where to find parts to rebuild it? I'd like to keep it if that's possible.

Somebody posted a while ago that Randy's ring and pinion had some parts. Other than that I believe it's the junkyard or buy a parts truck.

Can you be more specific on what your looking for..? I can pass on some info if I can find it on used spiders, axles etc. There are a few places that handle new ring and pinions. The pinion bearing is expensive if you need one. I couldn't find new axles or spiders..just used ones. That's not to say they are not out there..I just couldn't find them. I did do a lot of calling around though...

Good luck and let me know if you need what I found.

Vince,
What I'm looking for is one, maybe both axles, and probably replacing the ring and pinion. I was thinking as long as I was in there I'd see about rebuilding the whole thing. I was talking to a guy from the Tri-Cities area in Washington about parts, but he had no idea about the cost. I like the idea of keeping the axle I have, but I'm realistic enough to know it may not happen. I'd appreciate any information you might have on cost and parts location.
Thanks
