76 truck to 91 front end?

ive seen on here people that change 73-80 trucks and put 81-91 front ends on them. well i have a 76 that i want to put a 91 suburban front end on. And i need some ideas on how hard its going to be and what it takes. i have a whole 91 front end (grille,rad support,hood,fenders,inner fenders,bumper bar,and everything else) is there a thread on here on how to do it?

You have to modify the front bumper brackets so the bumper will fit. You have to swap all the sheet metal on the front of course, which leads to a few other issues. Your cab will have to be modified so the hood hinges will work with the 81 and up hood. You will need to swap the wiper system over from the 81 and up since you're now going to have a cowl panel hiding the wiper transmission etc. The old style wiper setup will not work.

You'll be hard pressed to find many users here who think the 88/91 burb clip swap is good for a nice looking round eye truck. You'll have much better luck getting information on how to make it in to a 73/74 front end, which is the king daddy look for a round eye truck. Just my .02.

Whats the diffrence between the 73 and a 76?

This helps somewhat. But to most the 73/74 grille is the best looking out there. For a long time you could not get a reproduction so the old ones sold for gold. Now you can get repops and even repop bowties via top banana who is a vendor here on these boards.

Is the grille an headlight trims the only thing different? Or is there other?

Basic parts for the swap are the center/latch support, grille and the left and right grille support brackets. These parts pop up in the parts section here all the time for very reasonable prices or are available aftermarket. Your headlamp bezels are the same as the 73/74 and will work. The 73/74 had yellow park lamps in front instead of clear like you probably have.

I love the round eye... Im looking at a 1985 c10 and the first thing Im doing is putting on a 73 front end. It just suits the body style so much better.

I just swapped my 82 crew cab for a 76 crew cab everything lines up except hood brackets how do I make this work any pics if possible I need help with this part

I need an answer for mine, 73/89 any possible way I could still use the 87 Grille Support instead of an 89 Grille Support, because of the problem with the LMC book saying my truck is a Z71?

My front end is like the 75-76 but on my title it says it's a 77?
