Yard sale 65

I went to a yard sale this morning and asked if the truck was for sale and they said yes. I know the 67-72 trucks but my knowledge on the 65 style is minimal. What should I look for?. Told it has the original 283 and auto trans? Also said I could drive it home....$2200

Turn around and go get it. Rust is what you look for and I don't see much if any. What I do see is a complete and fairly straight truck with potentially original paint. And it drives? Geez, better hurry up, it's your lucky day and you didn't know it.

Re: Yard sale 65

It's about an hour and a half drive for me, but I currently have a 65 and a 66. No need for another. But, by just the pics, I'd say that's at least a $5000 truck.

Re: Yard sale 65

Your crazy for leaving that behind, you could have at least tripled if not quadrupled your money here in rusty Michigan on that truck.

Re: Yard sale 65

100% agreement with Johnnyrrr !you don't see 'em like that around here. A little wet sanding and some polish would make a pretty truck. Not all cobbled up and a 283 with automatic too.
