Ive decided to just go with an aftermarket AC system. THe heater was not working either so I figured it would be easier to rip it all out and start from scratch with an aftermarket kit.

Didn't think about it until the hood was back on and all aligned. If I had those I would pop those springs off and take the hinges through their range of motion making sure that the primer is covered no matter if the hood is open, partial open, or closed.
Thanks for the advice, I did not even think about that. I did a really good job trying to to get into every crack, but it may be a good idea to take the spring off and check.

Re: 1969 Chevy C/20 Build

Well its been a while since I have updated this build. The painting is a slow process since my friend who is doing the painting is really busy, and is doing the work for me on the side when he has time. He is gettign closer to delivering it to us, and Im getting super excited.

Yeah im super excited to get it back. But I would rather him take his sweet time and make it perfect, than rush it and have issues.

Re: 1969 Chevy C/20 Build

The Cab is now off the frame, and I purchased a patch panel to fill in the holes from the stock HVAC system

Re: 1969 Chevy C/20 Build

Finally picked the truck up from my buddy who did the paint work. He still has to sand and polish a couple more pieces and then I can start putting it back together. Its currently being stored at my parents house. It might be a little while before I get to work on it. I have a baby on the way, and a restaurant to open.

Here is a little teaser picture. Sorry about how dusty it is.
