No real updates. The glass is going in tomorrow. The truck has been outside driving around the parking lot. It is in the mechanical bay to get some dual exhaust and a gas tank (the one gallon one sitting on top of the battery isn't going to cut it). That is about it for right now, I had a busy weekend, My brother and his wife had a baby so I am an uncle times three now. We just got back from the hospital, he is the cutest little gaffer I have ever seen.

His name is Carson Andrew Bellwood, weighed in at 8 lbs. and already has his own tool box. (sorry about the small size)

I'd like to ask another favor from you if you don't mind. When you get a chance, could you measure the overall distance of the outside of the of the dual wheels for me? I have mocked up several axles that I have, and I am getting different overall widths on some of them, even with the distance of backing plates the same. One of 14 bolts even seems to have extensions made onto the brake drums. It is 54" plate to plate on the inside, but is much wider than another 54" 14 bolt I have from outside hub to hub. I just want to make sure I get the right distance since from inside plate to plate doesn't seem to be the only factor. Thanks again!

Some progress pics from today. Got the front end all hung together and the box sandblasted.

67_C-30: Backing plate to backing plate is 55.75", edge of wheel to edge of wheel is 90.5" Hope that that helps.

Crews: I included a closeup of the weld holding on the fender as per your request.

James, Thanks! That answers my all concerns about the rearend. I have a Dana 70 that measures 92" wheel to wheel so that is the one I am going to use.

The bed looks great! Are you leaving the tail lights stock? I know you mentioned frenching the tail lights or marker lights at one time. What kind od driving lights did you use in the front bumper. I just noticed them. Since am going with the Turbo Diesel, I am thinking about doing cut-outs in my front bumper to kinda duplicate the cut-outs in modern TD trucks. I

I was just to cheep to fork out the extra coin to get that one. I like the way it looks on you truck. How did you mount the seats ? I will have to check out how comfy they are I need a good seat for the 67. I have a 90's plain bench for it right now dont know how much I like it.

67_C-30: I was going to put all of my mesurements in centimetres just to confuse the situation and you are right it is colour. If I measure mine edge to edge it is in fact 92", I was measuring edge of tread to edge or tread. Also the bumper was purchased like that, a little (ok a lot) more money but I like it alot.

72MARIO: The seats are really comfortable. (I have back problems and regularly see a chiropractor) The only problem is that they would be awful tight to fit into a regular cab truck. IE: not alot of room for your legs. PM Yukon Jack for some pics of his. They do fit and are comfortable, just keep that in mind.

as far as the seats, they look good in there. I have the 12 way power seats in my silverado and they are very comfortable! the have two seperate lumbar for the side boulsters and the back, as well as the bottom tilts as does the back. I love them!

Thanks, I was talking to the wedding photographer last night and she asked me where I was getting ready. I was like on my brother's front lawn polishing the truck. I am so excited it is actually going to make it and be in the wedding pics. All I need to do now is to figure out a way to get the dog in the pictures as well. I forgot to mention that we have alot of classics involved in the wedding including a '54 Packard Conv., my '68 GMC, my middle brothers '68 Ford Custom, my oldest brother's '68 Ford F-100 and a few others. Notice a trend that my family is stuck on '68 cars. The only odd one out is my dad he drives a '52.
