72 k10 big block engine fitment issues

i have 72 k10 that i'm installing a big block in with a diy4x engine crossmember and i'm having several issues first the crossmember seems racked when i bolt it together and try to fit it to the engine while its on the stand called diy4x they keep telling me there is nothing wrong and make it work second i ordered sanderson bb8 headers and they hit the driverside of the mount so i called diy4x and ordered taller engine mounts has anyone else had these issues i ordered both of these to not have issues and am having issuse with both and neither were cheap just looking for some solutions if anyone has one

I have the diy4x cross member with the tall mounts. It works great I am running the RV stainless steel factory headers and they clear very well.

Re: 72 k10 big block engine fitment issues

I also installed a big block in my 70 4X4 using the DIY tubular crossmember with the Sanderson BB8 headers. I had to order the taller engine mounts as well due to clearance issues with the frame on the passenger side header. At the end it all worked out but it was a bit of a hassle getting there. These trucks are all just a little bit different resulting in slight variations of problems. Keep going-its worth it!

Some of these trucks came with big block 402's in them, so based on that, I told the parts store that's what was in the truck and the hoses fit perfect.

Hey Bud, I pulled my build file out and dug around and found the receipt from when I bought the hoses. Here are the Napa Part Numbers

Upper Hose 7368
Lower Hose 7463

These have the correct bends in them and they are longer than needed so you have to cut them to the correct length for your application.

Good Luck.
