73-75 Roll bar - To do or not to do?

Here is my 74 Blazer, from the factory it did not come with a roll bar. I have a original front roll bar and I also have an original rear roll bar with the threaded floor support plates (welded on the bottom side of the bed)

My debacle is that I really like the clean look without the roll bars but safety is key, especially when I install the rear seat. What do you guys think?

I'm right there with u. I found a nice set of roll bars on CL but I don't want to sacrifice the clean look

My '74 came with a factory front roll bar and I'm going to use it. I like the look and mine will probably seldom be off-rode.

The option is so rare, or so seldom seen anyway, that the rear roll bar still looks odd to me. If I'd seen them all the time over the years I'd probably have a different opinion, but I wouldn't run one. I'd rather have a full cage.

EDIT to add: Beautiful truck! Love ochre squares.

Only if there was a way to make them blend in without standing out. I think I am leaning on not installing them. Ill probably just paint them to keep the corrosion from growing and throw em up on the pallet racks.

If my truck came with one, already installed, I would probably never think otherwise. But this thing is a pavement princess and will probably never see any mud. lol

I feel you on the rear roll bar. Over the years I have only seen 1 or 2 in person that has had front and rear gem roll bars. I like to keep everything OEM as much as possible with this Blazer. If it was a wheeler, that would be a different story, full cage all the way.

Thank you!
