Vortec Question About Exhaust Flow

Hows everyone doing so today im in my sons truck has duals and were going down the road and it comes out of one side then it will switch to the other side then when it hits about 70mph it comes out of both i dont if theres a way for it to come out of both any knows a trick or thats how vortecs are anyone knows can they let me no??

Does it have true dual exhaust or some kind of crossover pipe in it? Never heard of an exhaust that turns one side on/off before myself.
