Adding hitch to 72 C20

Hi i'm trying to find a hitch to put on my truck, preferably something that would bolt right up. Simple enough right? Well at one point in the trucks life someone decided to cut off the end of the frame just after the auxiliary springs. They did this to make room and add hinges on to the bed to make it a dump box and run it off of a PTO on the Trans. I know this because I took it all off. I wanted to save the feature but too many things were missing from it when I got it so I decided against it. So long story short I have nowhere to mount a hitch or a rear bumper for that matter. I'm wondering it there is a hitch that would bolt a bit further back on the frame instead of right at the end. Thanks. Here's a photo of the hinges that were on it, I'll add a photo of what it looks like now tomorrow. If anyone also has any ideas on a way of mounting a sport bumper i'd be willing to hear it.

Personally what I would do is find some frame rails and either weld them in if you’ve got the equipment and skill or have them welded in by a reputable welder. I also would fish plate this area since you obviously want to tow with it. Other than a frame swap much more involved I can’t really offer any other way I would do it.

Agreed, weld something in and perhaps box in sections that may seem weakened. If you butt weld a section in back it up on all three sides as in a slightly smaller frame rail. Have done this sort of thing in the past, it works and is structurally sound. Good luck on your project.
