What options does my truck have

Have a '72 Chev 3/4 ton pickup.
The serial number VIN tells me its a V8, 3/4 ton where it was built etc.
How can I get a list of the options that were on it when built. I understand that there was a sticker/label that was on the firewall or door post but over the yrs its no longer there, it has a Long Horn box but could that have been added to a standard frame and not come from the factory

The SPID (pasted inside the glovebox door) or the Build Sheet (usually trapped between springs and seat cushion) are the only ground truth sources for what your truck came with originally. Nothing was on the firewall or door (there are sometimes model # grease pencil markings on the firewall that could clear up your longhorn originality question though). Can't stick a longhorn box on a standard frame without it looking quite odd, Longhorn requires a 133" wheelbase frame, whereas a standard longbed requires a 127" wheelbase frame. Post up some pics and we may be able to assist a little further.

In Canada you can contact GM Vintage Vehicles and obtain all the info for your truck. All options, mfg date, original dealer etc etc. Cost $75 years ago (unsure what it is now) but well worth it IMO.
