Took a Little Road Trip

Took the K5 Blazer on a road trip with another friend of mine (1969 Ford Econoline 300 pop-top camper conversion) over an extended MLK holiday weekend. The trip took us through several states (California, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico). We covered a total of 1597 miles over the course of four days. We started in Orange County, CA and hit the following notable locations: Any number of stops along Historic Route 66, Oatman, AZ, Grand Canyon south rim, Monument Valley, UT, Four Corners (AZ, UT, CO, NM), Petrified Forest Nat'l Park, and Sedona, AZ. Burned 120.5 gallons of gas for an average of 13.25 mpg, which is pretty darn good considering all the climbing we did and the head winds we encountered. The Blazer performed flawlessly throughout. Spent the night in Grand Canyon Nat'l Park, KOA outside of Petrified Forest Nat'l Park, and on BLM land outside Quartzite, AZ. Saw the most impressive truck junkyard I have ever seen. Will post pictures of it in another thread. Attached are a few pictures from my travels.
