Flywheel question
Question:
Will a flywheel off of a 327 / muncie 4 speed bolt up to a 454 / 700R4? I.e. is there a difference between a flywheel for a manual trans and one for an automatic?

Two completely different animals. A manual uses a flywheel. A slushbox uses a flexplate.

On top of the flexplate/flywheel issue one motor is internally balanced the other is externally balanced

You need to buy one for the 454 because it is externally balanced. Make sure that when you get it it has the external weight on it. I have seen them package wrong.
