Anyway, my truck would need a V8 radiator, better fan and a fan shroud, plus I'd hafta build some brackets for the compressor, but it could be done.
Maybe when I get tired of sweating while driving.
Even have 5 or 6 cans of R-12 stashed.
We had that exact same unit in my Suburban when we got it in 1976. Worked up until my "stepbrother" ripped it out and twisted the copper tubes, so the only thing that worked was the blower.

I was considering going with Vintage Air because they offer the Mark IV unit. I have an old Mark IV sitting on a shelf in the shop. However don't know if it can be reused. I'd rather go with a new unit anyway. Who knows when any number of issues with the old unit may crop up.

Are you talking about restomodair? If so, you can install vents wherever you want as long as you run a duct to them.
