got a roller

Been working on the frame for awhile. all new suspension parts with 2.5 dropped spindles and disc brakes. all new rear brakes as well. just got tires mounted on powdered wheels. kinda makes us think were getting somewhere.

Re: got a roller

thanks a lot. the truck is my sons. he bought it a year ago and we just now got it to a roller.when he got it it looked pretty good from far but far from good. I talked him into going thru the whole thing and building nice. hes been pretty patient for a young guy. heres a pic of what we started withwe have the cab media blaster and am in the process of doing the metal work.next portion of project will be to get motor all detailed and installed. 1 step at a time

Re: got a roller

Wow!
It looks like you had a good starting point with the truck!
But from the pics it also looks like you are replacing a fair amount of sheet-metal in the cab floor.
At least you aren't cutting any corners. When I was at that stage, I had to constantly keep reminding myself that the truck was nearly 50 years old, and rust happens...Turns out that I was luckier than most in the cab area. I could have done the work with no problems, but didn't need to. Mine was unbelievably clean.
Kudos to you guys for making it right!
