Re: started my ls6/t56 swap...

thanks man, yeah the fullsize got pushed to the side for this project...

got the trans member in today...

the drivers mount has to go back to clear the steering so I guess I just bolt the actual mounts off the engine in the other holes on the block and push the mount back on the frame...

That thing is going to be one quick truck. Keep them pictures coming! Seeing your progress makes me want to scrap my big block idea and build one of those. Some many directions to go to achieve the same end.

Re: started my ls6/t56 swap...

well I really dont have anymore pics of the actual engine mounting. I did have one problem...my bisket stlye engine mounts come into contact with my steering rack...so the drivers side mount got pushed back and my mounts are now offset. It looks retarded but will work fine...

Re: started my ls6/t56 swap...

Im hoping for 11's on motor with this setup...only major problem will be traction and a track that will actually let me run...

Re: started my ls6/t56 swap...

why wont the track let you run?? I am in the same boat, LQ9 into a 50 and I need to run it on the track!
Question: how much of an angle did you set the engine back @??? I have to set mine in and nned to know how much it should lean back?
thanks

Re: started my ls6/t56 swap...

traction shouldn't be much of a problem with good tires and a proper suspension. the only problem with tech at the track would be if you run faster than 11.50, then you would need a 5 point roll bar.
