Too cool!

Welcome to the forum and please post up some pics and any additional info you may have.

This certainly seems to be a rare one and there is limited info available at this point.

I will tell you all the mystery about the camper on the 1972 blazer & the GMC Model. I own one of these rare classics, that my father ordered brand new in the fall of 1971. He ordered a Hugger Orange 4WD K/5 Blazer from Griesbach Chevrolet in Hortonville, Wisconsin. This Camper was OKed From General Motors, and if you wanted a camper on the blazer ,the dealership would take your vehicle to Ronco Camper Company in Osseo, Minnesota and build the camper on the blazer. It was not meant to be taken off. You could get a door on the back or use your tailgate and have a fold up window ,like a topper. The Blazer I have has 63000 miles on it and is in very good condition considering is is a wisconsin vehicle. I will send pics soon. The 1977 Blazer Chalet was built right at the factory. The 1972 Model was taken from the dealerships to Minnesota, Including the Canadian built Blazers.
Here is one picture to start...Im working on the others

I will be sending more pictures when I can....Happy to shed some light on the blazer camper setup, any questions that I can answer I will be glad too.
The K/5 was built on July 8, 1972 and was delivered to Griesbach Chevrolet on Sept 9, 1972. The total package cost with the camper
was $ 5500.00 with tax. I have the protecto-plate

Are you having any extra decals made? I just bought the one at the start of this thread and looks to be a ronco camper.

There’s a cool Ronco frame mounted camper on Chicago craigslist. Like a 63-66 style

Hello, When I have new decals made I will have extras made. I will let you know what they cost when I take them to the designer. The will be exactly like the originals. There are one on each side and one in the front.. I will be takeing more pics of my rig this weekend. Have a good one, and glad to be assistance to anyone who has one of these great units. We need to stay in touch and help each other out with preserving these gems. Thanks, Paul P.S. That is 100% a Ronco built camper
