1954 Chev 3100 Radio Block Off Plate

I just bought a 1954 Chev 3100 and it has the hole in the dash for a radio (missing radio and block off plate)
I'm hearing the block off plate is hard to find, so I have drawn up my own to 3D print. I haven't printed it yet - just something I've quickly drawn up for proof of concept. Anyone else drawn this up and 3D printed?
I'm initially going to print in ABS material to check fit.

No - I'm not doing this to go into production to sell

Share it with Thingyverse so others can enjoy your work.

I was working on one for the previous radio hole on my 50.
Looking at adding charging ports to it.

I'm printing it now to ensure fitment.
I'll think about sharing it.

Do you plan on using the radio slot later? Curious as to why you would just fill it with a small piece of metal.

Re: 1954 Chev 3100 Radio Block Off Plate

Right now I just wanted to block off the holes in the dash, and since the original radio block off plates are very hard to find, I made my own to look like the original. I will paint it the same color as the dash and paint the recessed chevy bow tie emblem black.
I can easily remove if I want to put a reproduction radio in.

Honestly - I drew up - printed mainly because I enjoy drawing and printing.

3D print done and fits well.

looks cool!

I actually have something I couldnt identify I got in a barrel of parts and, seeing the size of your part, I think it may be a 54-55.1 radio block off plate. There was a 54 glovebox and wiper transmissions and a couple other 54 only parts so I bet thats it. thanks!

I like that print your block off plate thing. It looks great and the origial holes are still there to boot.
