Dana 44 Front Wheel Studs

Need two Dana 44 7/16 black wheel studs for 1979 front axle.
Looking for the hardened black ones for the disk brake hubs.
All I find here are the Doorman plain silver colored ones.

Any suggestions on venders who sells them.
What length are they?

Thanks,
Les

They are all grade 8 studs, the silver ones are zinc plated so they are less prone to rusting

This. No need to replace all your black oxide ones, but the zinc an improvement.

Not clear what "other" ones your reffering to but automotive wheel studs ar grade 8

buy the plated ones, soak them in LRC for a day rinse them off and blue them with touch up blue available at most gun shops.

the blak oxide finish usuall rubs of after the first time you screw on the bolt, then it begins to rust. In that case you can also touch it up with gun blue.

Re: Dana 44 Front Wheel Studs

Mike C, and Mike 16,

Thanks for the information. The original GM wheel studs from the 70s vehicles, have worked well for me.

thanks,
