Holy wow.... awesome build. I'd love to check this truck out in person some time, and I'm about an hour north of you. I'm partial to the med olive short bed look as well.

Re: 1970 Med Olive Project

The bedsides look great! I saw them on Instagram but didn't realize they were yours. I love the way he does the rear cut. It virtually eliminates the very slight (but noticeable to me) change in slope of the body line when it is just cut straight.

Man I wish I had something picture worthy but all I have been doing is wiring and hiding wiring and more wiring and... it's like Groundhog Day around here.

Engine harness is on and tucked away nice, the dash/cab is wired, battery is mounted in the rear and wired. Chassis to engine grounds, engine to cab grounds and cab to chassis grounds are made. Cab is on the chassis, squared up and on for good.

Next on the list is wiring the fans, fuel pump, front light harness and rear chassis harness. For all of the work I have been doing it sure doesn't look much different or that means I'm doing a good job hiding the wiring.

I will have pictures soon.

Well it sounds as though you have been very busy I know what you mean though, hard to take pics of what you can't see. Let me know when you are done wiring yours so you can come do mine.

Trust me I will be to when it comes to wiring, not real confident in myself but I know I can do it if I put my mind to it.

Re: 1970 Med Olive Project

I had someone pm me that all of my pictures disappeared from my build thread. I guess photobucket has made some changes and now requires their "plus500" upgrade to allow 3rd party photo sharing. The cost of this upgrade is $40.00 a month.

I hate to lose all of the pics in my build thread here and my 2 plus years build thread at Team Chevelle, plus the thousands of posts over the years but there is no way I'm going to spend that much a month to be able to share pictures.

Now I need to figure out another source to post my pictures up. This sucks!

Re: 1970 Med Olive Project

I'm hoping someone can give me a quick lesson on loading pictures using the "manage attachments" button below the response window. Every time I load a picture into my reply, it's sideways. How do I rotate the picture? Or what is the best way to post pictures without a third party hosting site?

I hope photobucket dies a slow painful death for what they are doing

I have been working on the truck almost everyday. This whole photo bucket thing has pissed me off to the point that I havnt been coming here to update my thread. I need therapy I think

Mike I was told if you take pictures sideways and post them they will be straight. Haha if that makes sense.

Re: 1970 Med Olive Project

Sigh

I went to the FAQ section and searched hosting pics via the gallery on this site. When I try to upload a picture it says file exceeds size limitations or something toile that.

Maybe it's because I'm doing it from my phone. This is dumb

I've seen numerous complaints about Photobucket here. Just what is Photobucket doing?

They recently changed their policy and now require an upgrade ($400 a year) to use their site to host pictures. I have been using them for 16 years and have numerous build threads and several different sites. All of my pictures on all of these build threads have now disappeared. The only way to get them back is to pay their fee which I cannot justify. It's my fault and I'm trying to figure out how to use 67-72's forum gallery but I'm having issues.

Hey Mike hope you are doing well. What issue are you having loading from your phone ? Not sure if you know but when you click on attachments and the file block pops up when you choose a file load that file before choosing the second or it will not work. And of course you can only load 5 pics per post.

Larry,

I'm doing that but they all end up sideways when they post. I have done it several times now and I just delete the post immediately.

If you are using your iPhone or other Apple device as your camera, the following link will explain the issue.

This is one of my pet peeves. Almost all people hold their phone incorrectly when taking pictures. Think of you phone as an HDTV when taking a picture. Would you watch your TV with it siting on it's side? Of course not. That's exactly the picture you get when holding your phone in the 'normal' way - a tall skinny photo. Hold your phone sideways, just like your TV looks and you will never have the problem of sideways photos again. Beside that you get much better photos.

Re: 1970 Med Olive Project

Rufas, not only that but some folks hold their phone horizontally but with the volume buttons on the top (which can be pressed to snap the pic) but it results in an upside down photo. Unfortunately it doesn't look upside down on the phone or iPad (I even think windows 10 makes the pic appear right side up) but when it is uploaded to a vbulletin forum it is upside down. So, if you want your pics right side up, according to vbulletin, there is only one correct way to hold the phone when taking photos. Horizontally with the circular home button to the RIGHT. Do that and everything works fine. That information should be plastered on the home page of EVERY vbulletin forum. I can't tell you how many threads are out there with useless sideways photos because of this issue.
