1988 electric window switch removal

I feel like a dummy, but I can't figure out how to get the electric plug off of the back of the window switch on my 88' full size 1500.

The top of the switch housing has ears that I can pry out, but the bottom does not. There is a lip that the plug apparently slides down in somehow.

Anyone have experience with these?

Once the release lever has been depressed, the plug will pull out. It takes a hard tug, sometimes, as the contacts have prolly fused together somewhat.

It's not that easy. The prongs are about 3/8 long. The plug isnt fused. I can release the top ears, but the bottom of the plug is still secured by a lip that you can't pry apart. If I just yank it, it will break the housing.

Thanks for the help. After fiddling around some more I figured it out.

What was it? I've had connector separation problems before (with GM products) and maybe could use your cure in the future.

The plug stays in the housing. You have remove the switch panel, push the tabs on the switch itself and pull the switch out from the front.
