Rockwell t221

I'm in need of some advice.
I'm wondering if a T221 out of a 68 is the same as a 67. With just a different adapter. And did they put this transfer case in any of the 69's.

Thanks,W

Re: Rockwell t221

I have read that the 1969 model year is when GM started using NP205 transfer cases, however some 69s on here have Rockwell's. 69 may be a transition year where they used up remaining T221s first.

My 69 GMC has a T221 original to the truck. I believe shifters/linkage is different 67 vs 69
