Does anyone sell dash pad covers or restore them with OEM material?

My pad is real good, I store the truck in the dark now, but over the years just threw towels on top of it. I'm wondering....

1. Does anyone sell covers that fit over the dash pad vinyl? Covers for the cover, in other terms. I know they were once available.

2. Curious if there's a service to rebuild with OEM material?

Just Dashes will strip all of the foam padding and vinyl off your dash pad core, then recover it using the same vacuum process as original, with the same grain and coloring. They are very expensive, but the quality is there.

TY, good to know. Expensive doesn't surprise me.

I first became aware of Just Dashes from Jay Lenos channel on YouTube. In one of his behind the scenes videos where he showed some projects that were in the works like that pristine Jaguar xke, he visited Just Dashes and it looks like a great business. That place has the dash restoration market cornered on the west coast.

Hmmm. I wonder if anyone restores 69-71 door panels to OEM?

One of my car buddies has a 71 Nova. The dash pad was redone by Just Dashes. It still looks perfect 15 years later. Oh and it wasn't cheap.

Re: Does anyone sell dash pad covers or restore them with OEM material?

I had my seat re-covered by a local auto upholstery shop in a period correct but not-offered-by-Chevy houndstooth and vinyl in colors of my choice. I asked him to order plenty of fabric and vinyl that I will keep on hand for other projects. After I moved I found another local auto upholstery shop to re-cover the visors and dash pad in the matching vinyl. I recommend it. Just pick out your vinyl color and get some, and either have the shop cover it, or you cover it. The auto upholstery shop had a big book of samples to choose from.

Re: Does anyone sell dash pad covers or restore them with OEM material?

I'd like to make the dash pad look stock again, after the damage my FiL did to it over the years that he owned the truck. My wife's fine with what is there...but then she's so tight that she squeaks when she walks.

Wink Re: Does anyone sell dash pad covers or restore them with OEM material?

The best bang for your buck is a repro Dashes Direct pad. They are great looking and under $100.
