Disc conversion kit from Captain Fab /w pics

Hey All,
Just wanted to post some pictures of my recent disc conversion. I ended up going with Captian Fabs kit that uses the D52 calipers, and astro van rotors. I am using the standard D52 caliper instead of the one that has the e-brake lever from the el durado. Big cost savings. For the e-brake I plane on utilizing a hydraulic type they use in drifting and work it off the existing lever in the cab.

Everything in this kit went together perfectly. There were ZERO issues with fitment. This is the first time I actually bought a custom kit were I didn't have to grind or knock new holes in it. This is a true bolt together kit. Calipers are perfectly centered on the rotor. COuldn't ask for a better conversion kit. I would HIGHLY recommend his kits. IN fact a guy that runs a shop near me that is a true perfectionist couldn't believe how nice this kit was. I also went with his P/S adapter plate up front and that too is really nice.

Have a great 4th!

Chris

Is there an exact parts list you used? As far as brake pads, rotors, and brake lines? This looks awesome!!!

Yes, I have all the boxes at my garage I'll get the exact P/Ns for you. It was very affordable too, cheaper than rebuilding the drums and less of a headache.

Thanks a lot! Was this a 6 or 5 lug conversion?

This conversion uses Astro van rotors.
So it's a 5-lug conversion.
5x5 bolt pattern.

Looks good Chris. I would like to see some pictures on how you are running the e-brake setup.

Will do, it will be a bit before I plumb the hard lines, moving onto the motor and tranny next. Already have a built 700R4, so now it's just getting the block to the machine shop. It'll be something like this though.

Get rid of the handle and just work it off a cable. it goes inline with the rear brake line.

Will do....Hopefully will get to the shop this weekend....Been house shopping for the sat few weeks so no time to play......Researched the hydraulic brake thing and it is very do-able...I've been keeping a very detailed receipt binder of everything I put into this truck.

Re: Disc conversion kit from Captain Fab /w pics

I used the same kit. I went for the Centric slotted and cross drilled rotors to match my Wilwoods up front. Then, I used stock front truck calipers.

Rotor part numbers: CENTRIC 12766022R, 12766022L https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...hub,rotor,1896

Calipers: https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...b,caliper,1704
