Radio wiring

Hey folks,
Hate to double post, but I think this is too old to interest anyone in the radio forum.
Got a new in the box cassette radio (unlikely to be stolen from my beater truck), any ideas on the wiring, it's got everything but the instructions.

Have you tried typing the brand and model number and the word manual into google?

Hi, Adam, here's my best guess.

Red with fuse - 12 V power supply, connect to accessory on ign switch. Black is ground. My guess is pink for radio light, connect to dash light circuit. These days, radios usually have a wire to operate a power antenna, but I think your unit may be too old for that option, so my bet would be pink is for light.

I can't see what that black thing is in the first picture. Got a better shot of it? Or know what it is?

Now for the speaker wires. It looks like there are four wires left other than the three mentioned above, right? Green, blue, brown and white, correct?

In the olden days, radios used the vehicle ground for one side of the speaker circuit, so four wires would operate four speakers. So if your radio has FADE (front to back) as well as BALANCE (left to right) then your four speaker wires each supply one of four speakers. (That's the easy scenario.)
If your radio doesn't have FADE, only BALANCE, then each of the two speakers has two wires. Then the fun to figure out which two wires go to each speaker and which is positive and negative of each pair.

If I was doing this, I would try everything on the bench before trying it in the vehicle.

Plus, like dmjlambert suggests, try to find info online.

I searched and found lots of manuals for the Dashmate sears cassette player for 20 bucks, hoping not to buy one since I got the radio new in the box for 10 bucks.

Here are some more pictures of the wiring. There is a red and black wire going into the box, just red coming out. Noise canceler?

How about the speaker wires? Is the radio set up for 4 or 2 speakers? (FADE or no FADE)

Then I guess then the four speaker wires each connect to a speaker + tab and the - tab connects to vehicle ground. You'll just have to figure out which location is which.
