Dual electric fan relay with shroud

I have a 1967 Chevy C20 that I've been restoring and upgrading. My question is I have a temperature sending unit on the truck now with the wire going to the cluster. The relay kit came with thermastat switch. Can I tie in the wire from the new relay harness to the wire I already have there? Will the new thermastat switch still send to the temp gauge in cluster or do I need to put the old sending unit somewhere else?

Also can I tie in the new wire to the ignition switch I already have so I don't have to run wire all the way back to dash?

Sorry for the half ass questions. Also I hope my questions were not to confusing.

Let me know with any info so I don't have any set backs

Thanks for your time
Chris

In short, no, you can't run both off the stock temp sending unit. The temp gauge sender should stay in the driver's side head. Your fan's sender should be placed in the radiator (if so equiped) or in the intake manifold (water neck or existing port).

There is probably another fitting like that on the other side of the thermostat, where you can use another temp sensor.

Thanks I really appreciate the fast response. Cause that's what I was thinking of doing.

Rickey is correct, the Edelbrock EPS has 2 ports you can use. One 1/2", the other 3/8". You can connect both sending units to those ports.

I run a Pro Flo 4 EFI, and I used the one on the right side for the temp sensor on that unit and the one on the left runs my temp sensor on the Dakota gauges.
