Well, a buddy and I started at 9am and worked to 4pm today and it was a long day but it's on the ground. The only thing we did not do is the c-notch, that will be in the next week or so. And I will cut or heat the front springs, I need to get it down about 1" or 2". But it's one step closer.

Cut those fronts springs,... don't heat them.

looks alot better buddy! nice job. i agree... 1-2 more inches in the front. maybe just try whacking off 1/2 a coil 1st.

Looks really good. Definitely cut the springs. Mine were heated and were downright dangerous...the passenger side spring broke due to the stress...and they were binding and popping on each other as you drove....so cutting is the way to go.

4 up front and 6 out back, it needs to be 5 up front, but it will be soon.

cant realy see how far the bottomlip is of the ground but the front looks like its there allready maibe just raise the rear an inch will equal it out and keep it driveable at least untill you got the airbags to put under there

I wonder if the springs may settle some once you drive it a little and bring the front down some more.

i dunno about cutting. you still weaken the spring when you cut it. but then again i don't think they make a 5" drop spring so cutting might be the way to go on this one. its just i've seen bad things happen when springs have been cut.

Just cut them but i wouldn't heat them.

the only thing when you cut a spring is that the cut part doesnt fit whell in the springpocket you might need to heat up the end after cutting and bend it so the last coilwind is about level again

Totally disagree.
Cutting springs can be done, and is done sucessfully all the time.

Don't use a torch. Use a cut-off wheel in a die grinder. That keeps the spring cool. Even in the old days springs were cut with a torch, while the spring was in a bucket of water.
A good formula is:

1/2 coil removed = 1" of drop.

What bad things have you seen with cut springs?

Looks great Travis. I agree with the general consensus. I have cut many springs over the years with no adverse affect.

Another thing that will clean your front end up and is budget conscious is adding clear corner markers. They look just right with the clear headlights.

Here are some better pics, plus I put air shocks on the back for right now. I can not go any lower in the front with the tires I am running. So I may have to do something about that.

the stance looks perfect to me actually when you go lower withouth airsprings you'll prolly hurt the bottom of the truck
