even the ones with 50 years machining have a bad day, clamping force just was'nt enough,end mill sucked into part, luckily you won't see it

odd shaped part, will redesign with a spacer and machine off all the ugly

This was my third attempt to fit over the timing cover

This may work after all, just have to order some .750 x .250 diameter spacers, give it something solid to pull up on

[url=https://flic.kr/p/2heTW96]20190913_111354

this all can be removed after we establish TDC

If you are taking the time to put one on there, might as well leave it there. Might come in handy with future diagnostics/ troubleshooting.

Newer in tank pump use a standardized mounting hat, ordered hat trying to contact Carter to get specs on pump #P76088M

Can't believe these well nuts sucked the sheet metal up, bad design on my part

Re: PO has me PO'd

This is the locking ring and SS mount I picked up from VaporWorx, now I have to figure out how to attach to fuel tank. This seems to be the new industry standard for electric fuel pumps

Re: PO has me PO'd

Installer seems to have been able to get quite a bit done, timing done with cam and crank sensors, adjusted valves, and installed poly locks correctly, working on fuel pump purchase, wiring to all sensors, and power to battery and grounds, trans. temp. ran and done, worked on mounting plenum, I was short one bolt.

Also cranked to motor over and got 60 psi up to rockers and push rods, other than the popping thru the 4 missing plugs, he said it sounded good

I lost 3 spark plug wires, in the rush to clean up basement, so the plumbers could install new soil pipe(6" cast iron to PVC)

That's about where I'm at, at the moment, still have to source out a welder to tig the ss mount to the tank, but need fuel pump first to check height

WOW, 400,000 views, seems like yesterday I started this build, it's been a great trip with all of your inputs. Best board on the net
