Re: JUS2QWK'S Official Build Thread

Ive also been working on something pretty cool that I hope to maybe produce to sell in the next couple of months. Its a bolt in heater control panel that can be customized to fit basically what ever you want. The reason I need one is I'm putting in a vintage air Gen II heater so I can clean my firewall up and I did not want to have to repaint my dash. These are just the concept versions and mock up pieces. what do you guys think? Do you think there could be any interest for a product like this. The ones with the hole are for the heater but can be taken out or changed to what ever was needed.

This is just the plain blank

this one is the square raised version

and this one is the circular version that I think Im going to use

Very cool Idea! If you don't already have a supplier for manufacturing, I could make you one from an aluminum billet if you want to try a full on prototype

Re: JUS2QWK'S Official Build Thread

so we needed to move some stuff around the shop and need to put one of our cabs some where so I figured why not my frame.....then we put the but on just to get it out of the way.........then the fenders hahah. now it looks kinda like a truck. like I said its not my cab but it did get me excited and hopefully a little motivated

Re: JUS2QWK'S Official Build Thread

now I'm In a small predicament. the front goes low enough to where the tires hits the fenders and its almost probably too much rake for my taste... so do I go ahead and get some slosh tubs or do I try to make some bump stops to keep it from going lower.

Re: JUS2QWK'S Official Build Thread

If you have no intention of going lower in the rear just bump stop the front, no reason to spend money where its not necessary, ive got them but want to lay frame with the largest tires possible for a stepper

If you go with any of the aftermarket front tubs you will have to do some extensive modifications to your front fenders AND you will have to go with different hood hinges.

yeah... I'm still unsure what I want to do exactly. I was planning on doing some engine bay covers and inner fender covers originally but I am leaning a different direction now. PB hood hinges have been in the plans for awhile.
